About Us
Learning happens everywhere.
Maple Elementary School is a joyful and inclusive learning community where every student is known, valued, and supported as a whole child. Kindness, acceptance, and belonging are at the heart of our culture. We believe schools are strongest when students, families, and staff feel connected to one another and to the world around them
Our mission at Maple Elementary is to develop curious, confident, and compassionate learners through meaningful, hands-on educational experiences. Our collaborative and dedicated staff design learning opportunities that encourage exploration, connection to the natural world, and the development of socially conscious student leaders.
We believe that learning happens everywhere. It happens in classrooms and conversations. It happens through movement, collaboration, and hands-on exploration. It happens when students observe, create, question, and discover together.
At Maple, children are encouraged to actively engage with their environment and with one another. We prioritize meaningful, real-world experiences that spark curiosity and deepen understanding. Through experiential learning and a thoughtful approach that emphasizes active learning and intentional, low technology use, students build strong foundations for learning while developing confidence, resilience, and independence.
Strong relationships and thoughtful planning ensure that all students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Equity and access guide our decisions as educators, and we challenge students to think deeply, act with empathy, and take responsibility for their community.
Our vision is to cultivate a joyful and inclusive learning community where every student is known, valued, and inspired to explore the world around them. Through experiential learning, outdoor exploration, and meaningful community connections, Maple seeks to foster curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
