At Maple Elementary, specialists are an integral part of our schoolwide learning model, Where Learning Lives Outdoors. They work alongside classroom teachers to create learning experiences that are hands-on, engaging, and connected to the world around us.

Because we are a close-knit school community, our specialists know our students well and are able to provide meaningful support, enrichment, and opportunities for exploration that help every learner grow with confidence.

Integrated STEAM Learning

Our STEAM classroom is a hub for creativity, innovation, and discovery. Students design, build, experiment, and solve problems while developing critical thinking and collaboration skills.

Learning often extends beyond the STEAM lab into our outdoor classroom and campus green spaces, where students conduct experiments, explore environmental science, and apply their learning in authentic ways. This blend of indoor and outdoor learning helps students make meaningful connections and inspires curiosity about the world around them.

 

Personalized Reading and Math Support

Every student deserves instruction that meets them where they are. Our reading and math specialists provide targeted intervention as well as enrichment opportunities to challenge and support learners at every level.

Through small group instruction and personalized support, students build strong foundations, strengthen skills, and develop the confidence to take ownership of their learning.

Movement, Music, and Whole-Child Development

Physical education and music are essential parts of the Maple experience. Through movement, rhythm, creativity, and collaboration, students develop confidence, self-expression, teamwork, and healthy habits that support lifelong wellness.
